This project was suggested to me by the female model below. At the time I was shooting fake film stills, and she told me she wanted to take that idea, but do it as a shoot that looked like a comic book. We gathered up some old comics and some models, and made it up on the day. The whole shoot (this and the one where the guy chases the girl up the stairs) took about 8 hours to shoot. This series took approximately 35 hours to photoshop.

The shot of the model standing in the alley was the only shoot we did with the model on location, everything else was shot in the studio. The male model then kneeled on a couch cushion and held on to the edge of the coffee table, while the make up girl and another model held up his jacket. The motorcycle is a toy about 9 inches long (it’s sitting on the coffee table if you look closely). I pulled out some action figures to demonstrate some ideas, and when the male model saw the toy motorcycle, he said he wished he had brought his actual one to use. I thought about it, and said I think I can make this work in photoshop.  He brought the air soft rifle. It was also his idea to digitally split the back of the jacket.

This was the original intended color scheme. Unfortunately I couldn’t get all the other shots to match this tone, so I had to go in a different direction
