This is the original color version. I changed it to black and white, because I felt some of the color tones didn’t flow together through out the series. Namely the dominant green in the underwater shots seemed to stand out from the rest of the series

I am constantly trying to push myself out of my comfort zone, so my work does not get stale and predictable. Nude fashion came out of a challenge I set for myself. In fashion photography   one ultimately wants the shot to be about the clothes. I figured the ultimate distraction would be to feature a nude model in the shot. Putting a nude model in a photo is a bit like putting mustard on a sandwich. No matter what kind of sandwich it starts out to  be, it becomes a mustard sandwich. The same thing happens when you put a nude model in a photo, it becomes a nude photo. So the first challenge: despite having a nude model in the photo, how do you get the audiences to focus their attention on the clothes. The second challenge: if the model isn’t wearing the clothes, where do you place them in the scene, that doesn’t feel staged. I believe I pulled it off very well. Judge for yourself.
